Steps For An Uncontested Divorce

 

Time: Approximately 60-90 days in most States (See Waiting Period Above)

  1. Get the Divorce Questionnaire and pay for the service. (pricing below)
  2. Fill in the Divorce Questionnaire and return it to us.
  3. We process your Divorce Paperwork in 2-3 business days. That is our goal.
  4. We will send the Divorce Papers to you by email. Then if you would like us to do any adjustments, that would be a good time. Adjustments are always FREE.
  5. When you are ready, you simply Print, Sign, and File the divorce at your local county courthouse.
  6. Spouse is officially served with the Divorce Forms. We show you how and what to do for the Service. It is a very easy with good instructions. Most of the time the Spouse can just sign on the dotted line.
  7. The Default is filed, if spouse has not “Agreed” to the divorce.
  8. The Final hearing date is scheduled.
  9. Go to your final hearing and read the “Sample Courtroom Statement” that we provide you as a FREE GIFT. (You would fill in the blanks of the “Sample Courtroom Statement” with your specific information. It is a "Sample", so that we don't give you legal advice.)

    THAT'S IT, THE DIVORCE IS FINISHED

 

The above is just an outline of the divorce process. Every case may be different. It is very important, that you stay in close touch with us. Keep in close contact if you move, have your phone number changed, etc. If you move, you must be able to come back to go to the court for your final hearing.

 

Court Costs

 

Please Note: This price is not included in our service. This fee pays the Judge and the Clerks. You can check with the Court Clerk in your county for the exact court cost. State fee usually around $100-$200. This must be paid when you file your first papers with the court. They usually accept money orders and bank certified checks. All counties are different so, call ahead. If you have children, the Children's Agency in your State does charge a fee as well. All counties are different. The fee is usually around $75 dollars. This applies only if you have children. You may call them and check as well.
